(A sneer) #sketchbook
I puked up this board for a challenge centered around “happiness,” which doesn’t make me want to drop a hammer on my foot or anything.
Happiness is buried beneath layers that go deep, intangible at times, tied together by a bunch of different parts. It’s not obvious when you need it, and shines like a light in the dark when you do. I wanted to explore the colors that I associate with happiness, see if I could turn them on their head and, instead of going my normal fun, saturated way, play with that color relationship.
This was mostly done with one of Kyle Webster’s pastel brushes.

I’m so ready for the new season of Breaking Bad, which also means I’m ready for my heart to be shattered into a million pieces…
This would look so dope on a tee shirt! Want to make that happen, upload your designs to www.inksterinc.com and start profiting off of your designs now!
WOO good thing you reminded me, I don’t have any t-shirts uploaded on my Inkster-Inc yet!!
I love making looping GIFs. I primarily use After Effects and Photoshop, and the majority of people who ask me how I do it are illustrators, so this is going to be aimed specifically at helping those people out. I’ll go over some After Effects and Photoshop basics for workflow purposes, so if you’re already familiar with these two programs, feel free to skip things that you already understand. We’re gonna go slow with this and skip hotkeys because I know how overwhelming After Effects can be if it’s the one program in your Adobe Suite collecting dust.
A note: I’m working in CC, but everything in AE is pretty much in the same places. For the Photoshop Timeline, you will need Photoshop CS5, CS6, or CC.
